Parks and Recreation
The City’s Parks and Recreation Programs are under the oversight of Council Member Kelly Krell. This includes the activities of various organizing committees involved with citywide celebrations, park equipment maintenance and replacement and various community working groups like the Invasive Plant Task Force.
Current projects include:
- Organizing and managing the Riverdale Fall Fest planned for September 15, 2018 at Bicentennial Park.
- Studying the ecological and economic impact of invasive plants in the City and making a recommendation to the City Council for action.
- Exploring and initiating solutions to bike path wayfinding and traffic control issues on the Mississippi River Trails running through Riverdale.
