Riverdale Fire Department Strategic Plan
The Riverdale Fire Department has existed for over 50 years – and as the City and ALCOA grew, so did the needs on the department.
Riverdale has always enjoyed the luxury of having a tremendously talented and dedicated group of volunteers serving as fire fighters and emergency medical personnel – but as we head into the 21st Century, it’s important we take a more strategic view of how the department will operate in the future.
Council Member Paul DCamp is currently pulling together a group of interested citizens, fire department personnel, area business representatives and safety officers from Scott Community College, the Pleasant Valley School District and Arconic to conduct a full-on assessment of needs and capabilities of the department.
A report back to the City Council (and the City, in general) is expected by the end of the year.
More information will be posted to this space as reports are generated, meetings are recorded and recommendations are made.
